Job Description

About the role
Sessional Lecturers are responsible for providing high-quality teaching and learning experience to students, achieved through ongoing development of scholarly activity in the allocated subject(s) and learning and teaching practice. 
Lecturers take an active role in coordinating moderation and quality assurance activities, developing other teachers, and inspiring students to be career ready.

ICMS has several roles available at Levels B and C (Lecturer / Senior Lecturer)  to contribute to the design, management and delivery of teaching subject modules in the following areas:

  • Accounting
  • Statistics
  • Economics
  • Property Law
  • Business Law
  • Project Management
  • Leadership
  • Operations and Value Chain Management
  • Fashion and Global Brand Management
  • Entrepreneurship and Innovation (Funding, Creation and Operations)

Examples of Accountabilities:

  • Preparing and delivering classes aligned with ICMS learning and teaching principles
  • Assessing student assignments and grading student performance in a timely manner
  • Academic quality assurance - adhering to ICMS policies, procedures and guidelines for teaching and learning
  • Ensuring all required levels of assessment moderation are carried out in line with relevant policy and procedure
  • Implementing innovations in learning & teaching using technology
  • Organising relevant guest speakers, field trips or excursions with industry 
  • Attending end of term sign off meetings 
  • Leading and coordinating other academic teachers in academic administration within the allocation of a subject
  • Reflecting on own teaching practice contributing to the end of term teaching and subject reflection
  • Injecting current discipline and industry knowledge into subject content to ensure the subject is relevant and contains emerging trends in the field of education
  • Actively contributing to the ICMS culture, events and displays and fosters ICMS values in others

About you
You should be available to teach at one of our two main campuses in Haymarket and Manly; and able to teach in different modes as agreed.

Remuneration
$98,800 - $122,512 (depending on level and qualifications) to be pro rata’d to your hours.
