The International College of Management Sydney invites Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified academics and industry professionals to contribute to the redevelopment of the following selected undergraduate subjects:

• Event Logistics (AQF Level 6)
• Event Design & Execution or Event Production (AQF Level 6)
• Innovative Technology in the Events Industry (AQF Level 6)

These subjects form part of the Bachelor of Event Management course and are being redeveloped to strengthen industry relevance, future focus, academic rigour, constructive alignment, and compliance with AQF and TEQSA quality standards for face to face and blended delivery modes.
Subject Developers will work under the leadership of the Program Manager and in consultation with the Learning, Teaching and Innovation team.
Redevelopment activities will be staged across defined development periods of 12-15 weeks, with the above subjects scheduled to commence from 27th September 2026.
This is a contract-based engagement. Work can be completed remotely with contributions to at least three design meetings. To facilitate the process, Miro design boards and Microsoft Teams are used. 

Essential Criteria
To be successful in this role, applicants must demonstrate:

• A postgraduate qualification in event management, management, tourism, hospitality, business, or a closely related discipline.
• Tertiary teaching experience in event management or a related discipline, preferably at AQF Level 6.
• Proven experience designing or redeveloping subject outlines aligned to AQF level descriptors and TEQSA Higher Education Standards Framework.
• Understanding of constructive alignment principles.
• Experience designing authentic, industry-relevant, and academically rigorous assessments.
• Evidence of recent (within the past 5 years) industry engagement or professional practice in at least one of the following areas: Event logistics and operations, Event design, production and delivery, Event technologies, digital innovation or technology-enabled event experiences, Venue or site logistics management, Event planning, project management or stakeholder coordination
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within academic governance processes and institutional templates.
• Excellent written communication, organisational and project management skills, with the ability to meet fixed deadlines.
• Availability to participate in at least three online design meetings during Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST).

Desirable Criteria

• Experience embedding Work-Integrated Learning (WIL) into undergraduate curricula.
• Experience differentiating curriculum across AQF levels.
• Familiarity with event technologies, planning platforms, risk management systems, or production software.
• Experience with Miro and Microsoft Teams as well Moodle (or a comparable learning management system).
• Prior involvement in subject moderation, validation, or course review processes.
• Experience working within regulated higher education environments.
